Before the logo… before the colors… comes research.
One of the biggest differences between average designers and great designers is this:
Great designers don’t guess; they understand.
Research helps you:
- Know the target audience deeply
- Understand competitors and market gaps
- Define the brand’s voice and personality
- Make intentional design decisions (not random ones)
Without research, you’re just “trying things.”
With research, you’re designing with purpose.
If you want to create brands that stand out and last, don’t skip this step.
Next time you start a project, spend more time thinking before you start designing.
